Homeward Bound, Train to Schiphol which was easy. Not so easy was the transfer to airside in the airport, the queue to security and then onward to passport control. It took a very long time and I started to feel unwell, perhaps the requirement to wear a mask at the airport didn’t help.
Air travel has been made somewhat difficult due in no small part by airports not having sufficient staff on duty to cope with the number. It displays a callous disregard for those with some health issue or other having to stand in line for an extended period. Had I have known that I could have held onto my bottle of water until end of security queue it would have helped.
Whereas the variety of outlets prior to security was excellent, the selection airside was comparability limited.
Overall an excellent visit to Amsterdam, the flight with KLM was fine and certainly having this service from Belfast City is a tremendous asset.
