The weather was marvellous, I was expecting cold so scarf, gloves and warm coat were worn. I ended up for the rest of my trip in tee shirt, only in the evening did I need my jacket. Admittedly most were wearing a jacket but perhaps a feature of the hardy North British tribes, I didn’t need one daytime.
Downside to the lovely weather was that I couldn’t stop walking, I hadn’t planned to visit the museum or market on the day but I couldn’t stop. Just kept looking at the map and headed onward. Thoroughly exhausted by the time I got back to my hotel but after a refreshing shower was on the road again for a meal and a nightime stroll.
Throughout the day I recalled a video I had watched prior to driving up the Big Sur in California. It commented on how you coped with one marvellous vista after another, Amsterdam canals are a bit like that.
