What a great day! The soon to be City of Bangor, courtesy of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, hosted Pipe Band Championships on 15 May 2022. To cap off this superb day, courtesy of the weather, there was a market on the seafront.
The pipe band event was held at the front of the Town Hall which is an excellent location given the park with its numerous trees giving shade from the sun and should it become necessary shelter from the rain.
The town was very busy as in addition to the bands the market held on the seafront brought in additional crowds. The market was quite good, with a considerable range of items on display.
Family had much fun at my spend of £5 on a loaf. As they thought it was somewhat excessive I spent another £1 on a bread mix and was somewhat pleased at my first attempt at bread making.
The Cashel Blue was lovely, the cheese featured a lot on farming programmes I would watch but never seemed to manage to try it out until now.
