Battersea Power Station

Day two finds me heading to Battersea Power Station, admittedly I did think the power station element was already open but it was not. Even so, an excellent place to visit given the number of business already trading around the site.

Gordon Ramsay has a location here, also featured is a microbrewery, a cinema, lots of eateries and coffee shop. I do believe that the site will become very busy as the weather warms and facility completes.

Some lovely and innovative street art completes the scene.

Onward then to Westminster, Westminster abbey, and the portion of South Bank opposite Houses of Parliament. Memorial to the Special Operation Executive (SOE) features here along with the National Covid Memorial wall.

My slot at Sky Garden loomed and that was my next call, it free to book and provides superb views over London. I had timed my booking for sunset but as it was a very dreary day I lucked out on that!

I had forgotten that I had walked along The Strand in the evening after dinner in Wetherspoons. If you visit London on a budget, in fact most places in UK, Wetherspoons is a great option.
