As the regiment marks its 125th anniversary. Members of the Irish Guards have paraded through the streets of Bangor

A very large number of residents lined the route as the regimental mascot Seamus the wolfhound led the parade. Following the parade the Guards gave a concert at the front of the City Hall, again a significant number of appreciative residents attended.

The Irish Guards exercised their right as Freemen of the Borough to parade in Bangor

Ards and North Down Borough Council awarded the Freedom of the Borough to the Irish Guards at a formal conferment ceremony in 2022 and this event marks the first time in their 125 year history that they will parade within Bangor.
