Minister at the time Nelson McCausland indicated a major public realm scheme for Bangor and Holywood. “Those works will address all aspects of street design, including paving, kerbstones, street furniture, lighting and planting. The total value of the works is estimated to be £10 million”
With that in mind it seems incredible that the current local politicians appear content to permit substandard reinstatement by contractors.
The scheme will, I presume, be still a burden on our grandchildren through the repayments.
